I’m now writing from a local church in the city of Brno, check republic. After a long day, mostly spent in the car, I’m finally at rest in my sleeping bag. It’s a great feeling and I got joy in my heart. What makes me happy is:
1. The fellowship – I’m traveling with a team from Gränna Pentecostal Church, my family. We are on our way to Bosnia. I thought of it today, I really feel like home in Gränna, and I so appreciate my friends there, my brothers and sisters. Spending time with them on a journey like this is just great! I have now been living in Gränna for half a year!
2. God – I know that he is with me! Before we left from Gränna I had an awesome time just
resting in a beautiful nature environment. It was for sure a gift from the Lord. I preached that morning in a church nearby Gränna, and the night before I was so busy, I had loads of things to do. The prep for the service was of course the most important. But often when I preach, I wouldn’t say that I am stressed, but it can really be an exhausting journey, and it’s a true relief to step down from the pulpit, knowing that the Lord has used me, that what I said, I didn’t say it out of my own strength… he was with me and he spoke through me. Anyways, my mind was tired and finding this beautiful spot, the creek with its rapids, finding its way down to the shore of lake Vättern, surrounded by green grass and flowers, the birds singing. It was just what I needed, so refreshing! The words in psalm 23 is true… “He makes a resting-place for me in the green fields: he is my guide by the quiet waters.”
Now sitting in the car, traveling through Europe I can still feel the Lords presence. It’s like he is telling me, ”Remember our walk by the creek yesterday, I am still with you… you can always come to that place… in your mind, in your heart, I am there waiting for you, you have found your Gethsemane…your garden where you can spend time with me.”
Now I don’t think we need to be at any particular place to spend time with the Lord, but our mind must be tuned into the frequency of the Holy Spirit. Being out in the nature help us to achieve that, it gives us the essential peace to our so often stressed soul.
3. The book I’m reading, Makin Jesus Lord, by Lorren Cunningham. It is so challenging and good! It speaks right into my life situation. Chapter by chapter. And it is a confirmation of what I already have noticed in my own life, surrendering and giving up your rights opens up for the Lords blessing and favor in your life. In every area.
4. Seeing new places – It is my first time in check rebublic. It is for sure a beautiful country. Prag was gorgeous.
5. Connecting with people – I am very happy as well to connect with one of the leaders in the church we are staying in. It has around 300 members and it is one of the largest churches in check. There is a need of a revival among the people of check republic. The need is similar all over Europe. I have a wish to step out into greater mission in Europe, I now that I am called to do missions in Europe. Cause of that it is important for me to have at least one person in every nation of Europe that I am connected with.
With happiness and greatfulness I fall asleep!
God bless you all.
